This current housing affordability crisis is one of the biggest crises in our city's history, and it requires a dramatically new approach to fix it.
Both the "left" and the "right" have been saying "no" for far too long. They have run out of ideas, and their politics of division and distraction are going nowhere.
It's time for change.
It’s time to say ‘yes’ to fixing housing.
It's time to say "no" to incrementalism and "yes" to do everything in our power to make this city more affordable for everyone.
It's time to say "yes" to uniting Vancouverites, regardless of where they were born or the amount of money they have in their pockets.
It's time to say "yes" to a truly open, free, welcoming and caring global city.
Our party also says "yes" to these specific commitments:
- an open, democratic membership-based nomination process for candidate selection.
- a professional, uncorrupted candidate approval process based on best practices from across Canada at all levels of government.
- a strong core value of welcoming people from every walk of life, and from across the political spectrum, so as to come together for the greater good.
- a strong commitment to fiscal responsibility, environmental protection and social progress, with our focus on fixing the housing and homelessness crises so that both middle-class and vulnerable people can live in Vancouver.
